Piccies!

This one is an avvy I sometimes use, it's really cute! ^^

This one is something the internet famous thr0b made for me when we were having a pretty odd conversation :S it's still funny though :D

Work!

HOWZA!

This is the low-down:

So I started work! Yay! It seems to be going well enough, very busy! I have a problem with one person who I have to care for, but the rest are pretty much okay people, you just have to take them as you find them day-to-day.

I have finished my manual handling course and also have a first aid one to go to next week! EEEP! So at least I will be fully prepared if anything should happen on my watch, hopefully not!

Me and G went to view a house in Monkmoor, it was 3 bedrooms and very nice! It needs a bit of modernising, but at £129,000 it's a steal! Sadly, we need to sort out our place first before we can zoom over to a new place, but viewing that enabled us to see what things are on the market at the moment. It's a great time to buy! We have been discussing how to go about wallpapering etc, it seems the best bet is to get all the paper and just hire someone-Gazs boss knows someone who will do it for us at a reduced price I believe (?) or something...I don't really listen to him :/ erk!
The only thing then is to repaint bits of the place and just use a carpet cleaner and make sure the place is free from clutter-I should be able to store a lot in nans garage and that should help with moving stuff around and DIY'ing!

I have been bounding around everywhere and walking a lot for work, I have lost 5lbs! I am pretty impressed with myself, I am also not eating as much because we don't really get to have a break in this line of work :( boo! Speaking of which, I had better do some lunch before I go and do a late shift, then Gaz can have some when he gets in too then :) I'm a good girl ^^

I'll be visiting Val (Gazs mum) on Saturday for the first time to help her out of bed and such like. We both agreed that we didn't mind having to have me over there and doing what was necessary as it's part of my job. Hopefully we won't feel too awkward. Gazs dad (Bob) was rubbing his hands together in glee when he saw I had to pop over and attend to Val, the bugger :D
I get on really well with all the family, well, at least I THINK I do! I have a minor problem with Jo and Bob (Gazs brother and sister in law-I know, 2 Bobs!) but that's mainly because when we go to their place I feel akward because she seems a bit...sort of...prudish? But not prudish...it's complicated! Bob (brother) is okay on his own, but I feel he restrains himself a bit when around Jo, which I don't really like I suppose as I believe you should feel comfortable in your own skin, but each to their own!

The other brother (Mike) and his wife (Donna) will be coming over soon to stay over the weekend at Bobs (brother), I think? So I shall be able to meet them, just hope all is okay! May have to avoid the wine methinks :D it's only because I get nervous, even though people say I don't seem to be-I AM! :( We don't really see my family, mums and Rae are in devon, dads a prat and nans mental! We saw Aunty Caz a little while ago and we have been invited for a BBQ, but whether that will happen or not, I don't know. I'd prefer it if I could just be 'on my own,' away from all the family as I don't really feel comfortable taking a partner around to them-mum is fine like, but not the rest really.

Gaz has been talking about going to Portugal or somewhere for a holiday. I don't really 'do' holidays. I can't fly (obviously for I have no wings!) because I am petrified of heights. I really want to get over that as I would like to go to Tokyo at some stage, but at the moment funds are non-existant! I have my first pay check this month, towards the end. I have had to work 2 weeks in advance aswell, so I'll only get 2 weeks worth-which is a bit shit to be honest, but there we go. Hopefully I can put some money back, just in case things go tits up and I need to move out for some reason. That is always at the forefront of my mind, I am quite big on the self-preservation scene!

3 months contract to get hrough before I get another year with them, that's if they still want me! :( I hope so -_-; it's hard work but I like it. The only thing that really annoys me I suppose is the fact that some of the carers that have done it for 3 years+ want me to go at the same pace/speed as them! The problem with that of course is that I am NEW and am not used to all the people I have to go to yet!! It is annoying :( I wish they could remember back to when they had just started the job and how hard it was being new.

I worked with 'Z' yesterday, she was really nice! A little younger than me I think as she looks it. We did double-up shifts, which basically means we had 'hoist' work to do and you need 2 people for that, 1 to power the hoist and the other to help with the adjusting of the sling and different things. I enjoyed it, I also met a new person and he was nice, very slow though :( my full hour session with him turned into an hour and a half nearly! He had a stroke and is getting used to walking again, but VERY slowly. I wish that people would understand it takes longer to walk and thusly I need more time with him as he doesn't want to go into the wheelchair again-I can't blame him!

WHEW! Well, I think that's about it! Anything new and I shall pop a post on here ^^

Shinny FTWinny! :D
